Why did Deezer create a separate app for audiobooks?
We've created a standalone app, Audiobooks by Deezer for booklovers to improve the audiobook experience of paid customers and give better accessibility. It's just one of the many perks of a Deezer subscription.
- A dedicated space for storytelling
- Comprehensive catalogue of audiobooks with children's titles
- Listen to your favorite books with offline mode while you're traveling or to save data
Note: At the moment, Audiobooks by Deezer is only available to users in Germany
- Deezer Premium, Deezer Family, Deezer HiFi account or Deezer Student
- Android 5.0 and above or iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running iOS 11.2 or above
Download the Audiobooks by Deezer app
If you do not have a Deezer account, you'll need to create one and sign up to one of Deezer's paid subscriptions.
Note: You can still search and enjoy audiobooks on the Shows tab of the Deezer app in select countries

By selecting Explore located in the bottom left-corner of your screen, you can browse Deezer's audiobook catalogue. When browsing, you'll be able to view a short description. If you'd like to see more information, including author, length and date, simply tap the title and album cover.
On the homepage of the app, you'll find*:

- In progress: audiobooks you're currently listening to and remaining time (content is ordered according to last listened)
Note: When you close an audiobook or chapter, your progress is automatically saved in the In progress section of My audiobooks using the progress bar
How do I sort audiobooks?
By default, the audiobooks are sorted by release date (the most recent to oldest) on the Audiobooks by Deezer app.
At the top of your screen, you'll find options to sort by:
- Author name
- Title name (From A to Z)
- Most recent
Simply, select any of these options to change the order of audiobooks to help you browse and discover new titles.
How do I listen to an audiobook offline?
You can save data by downloading audiobooks for offline listening. To download a title, select the book details and use the slider to download content. Alternatively, you can download by tapping the album cover of any title and selecting the download icon.
Once downloaded, you can access it offline from Downloaded
Why can't I find the audiobook I'm looking for in Deezer?
If you can't find the audiobook you're looking for, it may be unavailable. Some unavailable content may not be searchable or will appear greyed out.
At the moment, you can only search for a specific title or author. Please ensure you enter the exact name without spelling mistakes on the Search tab.
Can Deezer Family members save individual audiobooks and bookmarks to their profile?
Yes, Deezer Family profiles that use the same login credentials as the Admin can save their individual listening history and favorites to their profile.
Note: Independent accounts that use separate login credentials from the Admin can also save their individual listening history and favorites.
Is the Audiobooks by Deezer app available outside Germany?
