Launch Music On Deezer

All apps differ in the way you should interact with them in order to get the best experience and Deezer is the same! This article will outline how to launch your music, and different settings which can improve your listening experience.

Note: Deezer Free users can only launch certain playlists in consecutive order on mobile

How to launch music

You will see two types of Play buttons at the top of the page when you select an album, playlist, or your Favorite tracks.

The icon next to PLAY indicates what order the songs will play in:

  • Consecutive Play.svg: tracks are played one after another in the order tracks are displayed. This will apply to albums

    Note: The order tracks are displayed includes any sorting applied, such as Recently added

  • Shuffle Shuffle.png: tracks are rearranged and played in a random order. This will apply to playlists and Favorites

Note: If you want to listen to playlists or Favorite tracks in consecutive order, you must select the first track in the list and then check that the Shuffle Shuffle.png icon is not activated within the player

Note: Only paid subscribers can deactivate shuffle on all content on mobile. Deezer Free users can only deactivate shuffle on certain playlists. Learn more about the Deezer Free experience

When listening to music on desktop, music is launched in consecutive order by default.

  1. Select Listen to launch your album, playlist or Favorite tracks in consecutive order

Note: Within the player, you can activate Shuffle Shuffle.png to rearrange tracks in a random order. Deezer Free users can only deactivate shuffle on certain playlists. Learn more about the Deezer Free experience

Shuffle Shuffle.png can be located on the right hand side within the player. A small dot will appear under the shuffle icon when it is active.
