Availability
Deezer on Android TV is available to all Deezer users with Android TV version 6.0 or higher.
Android TV is a Google TV operating system that provides access to the Google Play Store and is built into many TV brands, including:
- Sony
- Philips
- TCL
- Android boxes such as Xiaomi, Nvidia Shield et al
- and many others
Note: The TV app is only available for Deezer Premium, Deezer Duo, Deezer Student and Deezer Family users
Fire TV (Coming Soon)
Deezer will shortly become available on Fire TV, Fire Stick and other devices running Fire OS 6 or higher. Fire OS is a operating system developed by Amazon. It is based on Android technology but uses the Amazon Appstore instead of the Google Play Store.
How to set up Deezer on your Android TV
To download Deezer from the Google Play Store for Android TV, follow these steps:
- Enter Deezer for Android TV in the Search bar
- Select the app to install it
- Launch the app
- You can synchronize your Deezer account with your TV app by entering a 4-digit code or scanning the QR code displayed on your TV

Can I listen to podcasts and radio stations on Android TV?
Unfortunately podcasts and radio are not available to listen to on Android TV.
Can I use Deezer Freemium on Android TV?
Deezer Freemium is no longer available on Android TV. To continue enjoying Deezer on your TV, a subscription is required. To see our plans, head to our plans page.
What user settings are on Deezer on Android TV?
Deezer Android TV app has been built to provide a smooth experience to all users, so we haven't included all the same options you can find on the mobile application. However, you can switch profile in case you own a Deezer Family or Deezer Duo subscription and you can log in and out of the application.
Can I change audio quality?
The default option is HiFi - so you can enjoy the best sound experience on your TV!
I am a Deezer Free user - why can't I use Android TV?
Deezer on Android TV requires a paid subscription to use, so Deezer Premium, Deezer Duo, Deezer Family or Deezer Student. However, if you download the application and sign in, you will see a Subscribe to Deezer Premium QR code which will allow you to upgrade your account.
How do I switch profiles with a Deezer Family subscription?
If you have multiple profiles on your Deezer Family subscription and want to change between them, just select in your profile picture on the left bottom of the screen, select Switch account and click on the profile you want.
Help! Something isn't working. What do I do?
If something is not working as expected, please follow the troubleshooting tips below:
- Make sure you have a paid subscription or upgrade to a paid subscription - Deezer Free will not work
- Switch off TV or Android Box and remove power cable for 30 seconds
- Clear Cache under settings of Apps (from the menu of the TV or Android Box)
- Clear Data under settings of Apps (from the menu of the TV or Android Box)
- Uninstall, then reinstall the application
