High Fidelity audio is music encoded in FLAC (16-bit, 44.1kHz). Streaming usually compresses music a little to save you data, but Deezer HiFi audio plays CD-quality sound.
Select Info & Options and then Track Format.
5 Mbps is the minimum broadband speed required to stream FLAC from Deezer on Sonos. If you are streaming different FLAC music to multiple speakers, we recommend a higher broadband speed.
- 5.0 Megabits per second - 1 FLAC stream
- 7.5 Megabits per second - 2 FLAC streams
- 10 Megabits per second - 3 or more FLAC streams
When streaming lossless audio to a Sonos group that contains many players, your Sonos system's capabilities may be more limited than usual. Occasionally, the system might experience audio dropouts or display error messages in the app. To improve the performance and reliability of your sound:
- Ungroup some of your players to make a smaller group
- Wire some of your Sonos players to the network via Ethernet for local bandwidth for the Sonos players to use when streaming lossless content
The majority of Deezer's millions of songs are available in FLAC quality. However, if you find a song that does not play when you select it, this may be because it is not available in FLAC at the moment.

Sonos can only index a maximum of 1,000 playlists with up to 40,000 songs total. If you exceed this limit, some of your playlists or songs will not be visible in Imported Playlists. You’ll need to reduce large playlists by reorganizing or deleting them.
