How to connect your Apple HomePod
Before you connect your Apple HomePod, make sure that your iPhone or iPad is running iOS/iPadOS 16.3 or later, and that it is connected to stable WiFi (not a personal hotspot). Follow the steps below to connect your Apple HomePod to your iPhone or iPad:
- Plug in the HomePod - Place it on a stable surface with plenty of space, and wait for a chime and pulsing white light

Start setup:
- Unlock your iPhone/iPad and hold it near to the Homepod
- Select Set Up when it appears on the screen

Pair the device:
- Centre the HomePod in your camera view or enter the passcode manually

Follow onscreen instructions:
- Choose your settings (e.g.; Room location and Siri preferences)
- The final HomePod settings continue in the app
- Click Done once setup is complete on your device. You can use Siri while it finishes

How to Check if Deezer is Connected to Your HomePod Account
- Open the Home app on your phone
- Click on the three dot icon in the top right hand corner and select Home settings
- Ensure that the HomePod email address is the one linked to your Apple HomePod/Home app
- Click on your Home account - this is where your username or email is shown
- Under Connected Media ensure that Deezer appears on the list
If Deezer is not listed, follow these steps:
- Open your Deezer application
- Navigate to your profile icon at the top left hand side of your application
- Select the Settings cog at the top right hand side of your application
- Within the Preferences section, select Music
- Scroll to the bottom and select Connect with HomePod
Once connected, go back to the Home app - Deezer should now appear under Connected Media.
Siri voice commands

- Ask Siri to play a track, artist, album, playlist, or genre
- Ask Siri to favorite a song or play Flow
- Shuffle and repeat playlists and albums
Note: If Deezer is your default streaming service, it is not necessary to specify "with Deezer" at the end of every voice command

Can I play content on HomePod as a Deezer Family member?
Yes, both the admin and member accounts can play content. Make sure you're logged in with the right account before linking your account with HomePod.
Can I play HiFi quality music on HomePod?
Yes, HomePod supports HiFi quality. Apple HomePod will play the highest possible quality available.
