There are times you may want to change your username, password or email. You can update your details on deezer.com or from within the app. At Deezer, we take your security very seriously. We've added an extra security step to confirm that it's really you making the request to change your email or password.
See the steps below on how to change your details from different devices:
How to change your email or password on mobile
- Go to Settings
(displayed on the top-right corner on any of your Deezer tabs)
- Go to Account management
(next, select Manage my account for iOS users)
- Select Change your email address or Change password
- For security reasons, you will be asked to confirm your identity with a six digit confirmation code sent to your email* with these steps:
- Select SEND CODE
- On a separate tab, check your email**
- Go back to your Deezer screen
- Enter the six digit code in the row of boxes
- Select CONTINUE or RESEND CODE
- Enter your new email address or password
- Re-enter your email address or password to confirm
- Select SAVE CHANGES
*If you don't have access to this email, you'll need to contact Deezer Support
**The code will expire after 10 minutes. Once expired, you'll need to ask for a new code
Note: Only Android users can change their username on mobile (iOS users will need to log in to deezer.com)
How to change your email or password on your computer
- Click on your user profile icon
in the top-right corner
- From the drop-down menu, select Account Settings
- Go to the My information tab
- Select Change next to your email or password
- For security reasons, you will be asked to confirm your identity with a confirmation code sent to your email* with these steps:
- Select SEND CODE to confirm your identity
- On a separate window tab, check your email**
- Go back to your original tab (deezer.com) and enter the six digit code in the row of boxes
- Select CONTINUE or RESEND CODE**
- Enter your new email address or password
- Re-enter your email address or password to confirm
- Select SAVE CHANGES
*If you don't have access to this email, you'll need to contact Deezer Support
