Playlists are an important way to listen to music. Whether you want that party vibe, chilled out ambiance or you are in heavy metal mood, we’ve made it easy for you to create your own playlists and share them with other users across mobile and desktop. You can create a playlist regardless of whether your are a Free or Premium user!

Availability
Deezer's playlists are available to all users worldwide.
Note: The minimum version required for your Deezer mobile app is 6.2.16 on Android or 8.28 on iOS
How to create a playlist
- Go to Favorites
- Select Playlists
- Select Create a playlist…
- Select the camera icon
if you’d like to take a photo or upload an image
- In the Name field, enter a name for your playlist
- If you would like your playlist to be Collaborative, select the slider
- Next to Private, select the slider
to make your playlist private
- Select CREATE

- Go to Favorites
- Select Playlists
- Select Create new playlist…
- Select the camera icon
if you’d like to take a photo or upload an image
- In the Name field, enter a name for your playlist
- If you would like your playlist to be Collaborative, select the slider
- Next to Private, select the slider
to make your playlist private
- Select CREATE
Note: A collaborative playlist can only be set as public
- Under Favorites
, select Playlists

How to make your playlist Private
By default, playlists that you create will be public. When you make playlists, any Deezer user can access them unless you change the privacy settings.
If you do not wish for other users to view or add to your playlist, simply select the Private slider on your playlist creator or editor.
Both public and collaborative playlists are searchable and viewable for all Deezer users.
Collaborative Playlist on Deezer
A Collaborative Playlist lets you and other Deezer users add songs to the same playlist. It’s a great way to build a shared music collection with friends, family, or anyone who loves the same tunes as you!
How to Create a Collaborative Playlist

Go to your Favorites
and select Playlists.
- Choose the playlist you want to make collaborative or create a new one.
- Select Edit
- Toggle the Collaborative switch to on
- Hit Save – and now, anyone with the playlist link can add tracks!
Note: Collaborative playlists are always public anyone with the link can view them. Only the playlist owner can remove tracks.
How to launch a music quiz from your playlist
By using the tracks added, Deezer can create a music quiz based on your playlist! To do so, select the options icon next to your chosen playlist and from the list of actions, select Launch a music quiz.

How to edit a playlist
- Go to Favorites
- Select Playlists
- Select the playlist that you want to edit
- Select Edit
- From here, you can:
- Change the playlist name
- Set your playlist to be Collaborative with the slider
- Select the Private slider
to make your playlist private
- Hold and the
icon next to a track to rearrange its position in the playlist
- Select SAVE

How to customize a playlist cover
Make your playlists stand out by personalizing your covers with Deezer's customization tools. Give your playlists a unique look by adding custom covers with stickers, shapes, and masks. This can help you easily identify your playlists and at the same time express your creativity!
How to customize a playlist cover:
- Open the playlist you want to customize
- Tap the playlist cover image
- Select Customize Cover
- Choose from the available options:
- Add stickers
- Apply shapes
- Use masks
- Upload your own image
- Adjust your design elements as needed
- Select Save to apply your custom cover
Note: Your custom cover will be visible to anyone you share the playlist with, making it easy for friends to recognize your curated collections
How to add a song to a playlist
On mobile and desktop, you can add tracks by selecting the three dots next to a track, selecting Add to playlist and choosing your desired playlist.
If you’re adding from the player, select the + icon on web or the three dots on mobile.
Note: The playlists that you have edited or added to most recently will be displayed in the three dots menu

How to remove a song from a playlist
- Go to Favorites
- Under Music, select Playlists
- Select the playlist that you want to edit
- Select Edit
- Tap remove
next to the tracks you want to remove
- Tap Delete
- Go to Favorites
- Under Music, select Playlists
- Select the playlist that you want to edit
- Select Edit
- Swipe the track to the left to remove it
Note: A bin icon will appear as you remove the track
- Under Favorites
, select Playlists
- Select the playlist that you want to edit
- Select the checkbox
on the track that you’d like to remove
Note: When you have selected at least one track, the delete icon and the three dots icon will appear
- Select Delete

What is a collaborative playlist?
A collaborative playlist allows you and other Deezer users to add tracks to the same playlist. It's a fun way to make playlists with other music lovers and fans.
If you see the Collaborative icon on any playlist, then other Deezer users can add tracks.

Who can remove tracks from a collaborative playlist?
Only the owner of a collaborative playlist can remove tracks.
When customizing a playlist, can I restore the default layout?
Yes, you can reset your favorites tab to the default layout by selecting Reset to Default in the customization menu.
Will my custom playlist covers appear on all devices?
Yes, custom playlist covers will appear on all devices where you're logged into your Deezer account.
Can I edit a custom playlist cover after saving it?
Yes, you can edit your custom playlist cover at any time by opening the playlist and following the same customization steps.
