Create A Playlist Or Add To An Existing Playlist

Playlists are an important way to listen to music. Whether you want that party vibe, chilled out ambiance or heavy metal mood, we’ve made it easy for you to create your own playlists and share them with other users across mobile and desktop.

Availability

Deezer's playlists are available to all users worldwide.

Note: the minimum version required for your Deezer mobile app is 6.2.16 on Android or 8.28 on iOS

How to create a playlist

  1. Go to Favorites favourties.png
  2. Under Music, select Playlists
  3. Select Create a new playlist… CreatePlaylist.svg
  4. Select the camera icon CameraMobile.svg if you’d like to take a photo or upload an image
  5. In the Name field, enter a name for your playlist
  6. Next to Private, select the slider Slider.png to make your playlist private
  7. Select CREATE

Note: You can change collaborative playlist settings on deezer.com

  1. Go to Favorites favourties.png
  2. Under Music, select Playlists

  4. Select the camera icon CameraMobile.svg if you’d like to take a photo or upload an image
  5. In the Name field, enter a name for your playlist
  6. Next to Private, select the slider Slider.png to make your playlist private
  7. Next to Collaborative, select the slider Slider.png to make your playlist collaborative
  8. Select CREATE

Note: A collaborative playlist can only be set as public

  1. Under Favorites favourties.png, select Playlists
  2. Select Create a playlist CreatePlaylist.svg
  3. Select the camera icon Camera.svg if you’d like to take a photo or upload an image
  4. In the Name field, enter a name for your playlist
  5. Next to Private, select the slider Slider.png to make your playlist private
  6. Next to Collaborative, select the slider Slider.png to make your playlist collaborative
  7. Enter a description about the playlist if you want to.
  8. Select CREATE

Note: A collaborative playlist can only be set as public

How to make your playlist Private

By default, playlists that you create will be public. When you make playlists, any Deezer user can access them unless you change the privacy settings.

If you do not wish for other users to view or add to your playlist, simply select the Private slider on your playlist creator or editor.

Both public and collaborative playlists are searchable and viewable for all Deezer users.

How to edit a playlist

  1. Go to Favorites favourties.png
  2. Under Music, select Playlists
  3. Select the playlist that you want to edit
  4. Select Edit EditMobile.svg
  5. From here, you can:
    • Select the camera icon CameraMobile.svg if you’d like to take a new photo or upload an image
    • Change the playlist name
    • Select the Private slider Slider.png to make your playlist private
    • Hold and the MoveAndDrag.svg icon next to a track to rearrange its position in the playlist
  6. Select SAVE

    • Hold and the MoveAndDrag.svg icon next to a track to rearrange its position in the playlist
  6. Select SAVE

Note: A collaborative playlist can only be set as public

  1. Under Favorites favourties.png, select Playlists
  2. Select the playlist that you want to edit

    Tip: To reorder tracks, hold and drag a track to the required position

  3. Select Edit Edit.svg
  4. From here, you can:
    • Select the camera icon Camera.svg if you’d like to take a new photo or upload an image
    • Change the playlist name
    • Select the Private slider Slider.png to make your playlist private
    • Select the Collaborative slider Slider.png to make your playlist collaborative
    • Edit the description
  5. Select SAVE

How to add a song to a playlist

On mobile and desktop, you can add tracks by selecting the three dots ThreeDotsVertical.svg next to a track, selecting Add to playlist and choosing your desired playlist.

If you’re adding from the player, select the + icon on web or the three dots on mobile.

Note: The playlists that you have edited or added to most recently will be displayed in the three dots menu

How to remove a song from a playlist

  1. Go to Favorites favourties.png
  2. Under Music, select Playlists
  3. Select the playlist that you want to edit
  4. Select Edit EditMobile.svg
  5. Tap remove DeleteIos.svg next to the tracks you want to remove
  6. Tap Delete
  1. Go to Favorites favourties.png
  2. Under Music, select Playlists
  3. Select the playlist that you want to edit
  4. Select Edit EditMobile.svg
  5. Swipe the track to the left to remove it

    Note: A bin icon will appear as you remove the track

  1. Under Favorites favourties.png, select Playlists
  2. Select the playlist that you want to edit
  3. Select the checkbox Checkbox.svg on the track that you’d like to remove

    Note: When you have selected at least one track, the delete icon and the three dots icon will appear

  4. Select Delete

A collaborative playlist allows you and other Deezer users to add tracks to the same playlist. It's a fun way to make playlists with other music lovers and fans.

If you see the Collaborative ColaborativePlaylist.svg icon on any playlist, then other Deezer users can add tracks.

Note: Collaborative playlists are always public, and can't be set to Private
