Who is Mercado Livre?

Mercado Livre is an international online marketplace company dedicated to e-commerce and auctions. Mercado Livre has partnered with Deezer to enhance the service it provides, giving users competitive offers for the music on demand that Deezer provides. It allows customers to benefit from Deezer’s premium features as part of their monthly subscription to Mercado Livre.

What is Meli+?

MELI+ is a subscription that offers extra and exclusive benefits through a monthly payment with automatic renewal.

Users may choose and subscribe to one of the Meli+ subscription plans:

  • MELI+ Essential
  • MELI+ Total (which includes Deezer Premium as benefit)

Since the launch of Meli+, Mercado Livre updated the list of benefits for users, offering deals and shopping conveniences, along with partnerships with audiovisual entertainment companies. That's where Deezer comes in.

What is Deezer Premium?

With Deezer Premium you can listen to all your music offline and create playlists, without the hassle of adverts. You can even identify tracks, sing along to your favourite songs and play music quizzes with other users with built-in features like SongCatcher, Lyrics and Music Quizzes. All these features are available to you, and you can experience it all with Hi-Fi sound!

What kind of Deezer offers are available on Meli+ and where?

If you are a Meli+ TOTAL subscriber you can get as a benefit a 12-month free subscription of Deezer Premium.

After the 12-month free subscription, you can continue to enjoy a 30% discount over the actual price as long as you keep your Meli+ TOTAL subscription active.

However, if you cancel your Meli+ TOTAL subscription at any moment, you will lose the benefits above but still get a 15% discount over the actual price.

Currently, the Deezer Premium benefit is available in Brazil, Mexico, and Chile through the Meli+ offer. We plan to extend this offer to other South American countries soon.

How to activate and manage your account

To activate Meli+ Total:

  1. Open the Mercado Livre application or website
  2. Tap the option Get free shipping on more products with Meli+
  3. Select Meli+ (to get the benefit of Deezer Premium)
  4. Select Meli+ TOTAL
  5. Select your method of payment, and proceed to the next stage
  6. After validating your payment method, tap Pay subscription to confirm your subscription to Meli+ TOTAL. A confirmation message for the active Meli plan will be displayed immediately if your payment is successfully captured.

To subscribe to Deezer once you’ve activated Meli+ TOTAL:

  1. Access the My Profile page in the Mercado Livre application
  2. Tap Subscriptions
  3. You will see 4 benefits; Tap on Deezer Premium Activate Benefit
  4. Then tap on Activate Deezer Premium
  5. Finish the steps by selecting Register with Deezer

Note: Once you choose Deezer with 12 months free, if the Sign up for Deezer button does not appear, you can retrieve the activation link within your Meli account: Subscriptions Deezer

To activate your subscription associated with Mercado Livre on an existing Deezer account or create a new Deezer Free account:

  1. After clicking on Register with Deezer, the Mercado Livre application will redirect you to the Deezer application
  2. Then select Login if you already have a free Deezer account, and log in with your email and password; or select Register if you need to create a new Deezer account, filling in all the necessary fields

Note: If you have an active Premium subscription, you will need to cancel it, wait until it changes to Deezer Free and only then associate the plan with Meli+ on Mercado Livre

To cancel the Deezer subscription

Your Deezer subscription is made available through Mercado Livre. If you wish to cancel, you must do so through your account settings in the Mercado Livre app or website. Alternatively, you can contact Mercado Livre support HERE

To cancel your subscription, follow these steps on the app:

  1. Access your Mercado Livre account
  2. Select the button on the top left side of the screen
  3. Click Subscriptions
  4. Select Deezer Subscriptions
  5. On the bottom of the page, tap “I want to cancel my subscription”
  6. Select “Yes, want to cancel”
  7. Please add the reason for cancelling
  8. Finally, click Cancel subscription
