Who are RTL+?
RTL is a German free-to-air television channel and is the largest private television network in the country. On their RTL+ streaming service/multipurpose app, they provide Video, TV, Live Events, Music, Audiobooks, Podcasts and Magazines. Since 2022, RTL+ has partnered with Deezer through an API (application programming interface) integration that allowed RTL+ customers to stream music, and audiobooks through the RTL+ application, which uses an API to access Deezer’s catalogue of music and audiobooks as if the user had a Deezer paid subscription. From June, 3, 2025, users are being invited to migrate their access to the Deezer application, where they will have access to new features like Lyrics, Shaker, Quizzes, Song Catcher and much more that were not available in the RTL+ app.

Deezer Family gives you all those Premium perks, but you can share them with up to 4 family members—each with their own profile or independent account, with an option to create profiles for kids too!!
How to register and get support
To benefit from Deezer’s partnership with RTL+, you will first need to register your account on https://plus.rtl.de/ - you will be asked to provide an e-mail address and password, and once you have verified your e-mail address, you will need to set up your personal information (name, gender, date of birth). Once this is complete, you will be issued a Customer Number (Kundennummer) which is a 10-digit number that identifies your account. If you already have an account with RTL+, you can simply sign in using your RTL+ credentials. You can also register/login using a single sign on (SSO) through your Amazon account if preferred.
Once your account has been created/signed in to, you will be able to upgrade your free account to a subscribed account, which allows access to premium television shows. If you get the package Max or Family, then beside higher streaming quality (UHD), and more simultaneous streams, you get access to music and audiobooks, provided by Deezer, through the RTL+ application. If you choose the basic plans - Basic and Premium - you will not have access to Music and Audiobooks content.
Starting from June, all users with Max or Family, will be invited to start using the Deezer application that is available on iOS, Android, Mac and Windows devices or through the web version on browsers Chrome, Safari, Edge and Mozilla.
Once you are an RTL+ customer, you will need to contact RTL+ directly if you have a question or issue about the billing cycle, cancellations, refunds or any technical issue with the RTL+ app.
But if the issue happens in the Deezer app, then Deezer Customer Support is here to help you. For support on RTL+ side, do this:
- You will need to provide your 10 digit customer number (Kundennummer) during your correspondence with RTL+
- The RTL+ Customer Care team are open between Monday and Friday - 9am to 7pm

Note: Deezer does not hold information about your RTL+ account, as the service is provided by RTL+ via an API and not via a Deezer customer database. Therefore, Deezer cannot help with RTL+ application, payment, subscription or account issues.

How to activate your Deezer account with your RTL+ credentials
To migrate your account to Deezer, you just need to follow these quick steps.
On iOS, Android devices and for PC Desktop app:
- Open or download the Deezer app, available on the Apple Store, Google Play Store or Microsoft Store
- Login by clicking on the RTL+ Logo
- Enter your RTL+ credentials (Email + password) if you are not connected yet to the RTL+ app
- You will be redirected to the Deezer homepage
On the Web:
- Grab your RTL+ login details
- Go to deezer.com
- Log in by clicking on the RTL+ Logo
- Enter your RTL+ credentials if you are not connected yet to the RTL+ app and your music will be there
FAQs
How do I subscribe to Deezer through the RTL+ partnership?
To have access to the Deezer catalogue, you will have to subscribe to the RTL+ Max package.
Do I need to download the Deezer application?
Until May 2025, Deezer catalogue was only available through RTL+ application. Since June 2025, all users are being invited to download the Deezer app and migrate their access to Deezer. If you don’t wish to download the app, you can access Deezer through the website www.deezer.com.
Note: From June until the end of the year, users can experience music through both apps - Deezer and RTL+.
Can I use Deezer with my Telekom Magenta plan?
Yes, Telekom Magenta customers with RTL+ Max or RTL+ Max Upgrade can also use Deezer.
What should I do if I experience billing issues?
If you notice any discrepancies in your bill, please contact RTL+ customer support for assistance. They will help resolve any payment-related concerns.
How do I cancel my subscription?
If you wish to cancel your subscription to RTL+, you will need to follow the cancellation process on the RTL+ website, or speak to RTL+ customer care agents.
What happens if I can cancel my RTL+ Max / Family subscription, but I want to keep using Deezer Premium services?
In that case, you will not be able to log in with RTL+ credentials unless the account is linked to your Facebook, Google or Apple ID. You will need to create a new Deezer account and subscribe to a plan directly with us. If you do this before cancelling the RTL+ Subscription, we can copy the content of the existing account to the new account.
What happens if I downgrade or upgrade my RTL+ subscription?
It will reflect immediately in the Deezer app. Presently, RTL+ no longer distributes Family plans, so you can only downgrade from Family to Max. With that, profiles will not be able to use Deezer or RTL+ app. If you downgrade to a plan that doesn’t have Music included, then you will be automatically logged out from the Deezer app, and you won't be able to connect with your RTL+ credentials any more. You can still use the RTL+ app (without music). Don’t worry, if you decide to upgrade again to an RTL+ plan that includes Music, you will regain access to the Deezer app and to all your favourites.
What happens to all my favourites that I have under RTL+ app?
As soon as you migrate your account to Deezer, automatically all your favourite playlists, albums and songs will be migrated too.

No, as they are 2 different accounts. A suggestion is to take note of the details of that account and then logout. After that, please log in, click on the RTL+ logo, type your RTL+ credentials and take a screenshot of your user ID from that account. Contact the Deezer customer support so we can copy your music from your old Deezer account to the new one.
I have a Deezer Premium/Family account and I also have an RTL+ Max subscription, what should I do?
If you don’t need both subscriptions, we recommend cancelling the subscription you have direct with Deezer. You can use “Tune My music” feature to copy your music to the new account you will create when you follow the migration process, or you can contact Deezer Customer Support to help you with that process.
Instead of login, I have created an account with the same email that I have on RTL+?
No problem. You need to delete that account you have just created. If mistakenly you have subscribed to a plan direct with us, you will need to cancel, before you delete your account.
I have an RTL+ Family subscription, how will the other profiles of my RTL+ account access Deezer?
We are migrating all existing RTL+ Family users before launch, so that the admin of the Family account will see its sub-profiles into Deezer once he migrates. Profiles can access their account using the credentials on the main RTL+ account. The two apps work independently when it comes to family management.
When I try to log in using RTL+ credentials (email + password) I get this error message. What do I have to do?
If you are getting this error message, it means there is an issue with your subscription, or you don’t have an RTL+ Max or Family plan. In this case, as Deezer doesn't have access to your RTL+ account, we suggest you contact RTL+ Customer care and be prepared to provide potentially an invoice and proof of payment together with your 10 digits RTL+ ID service number.
Can I listen to music offline?
Yes! Using the Deezer app, you can download playlists, your favourite songs or any album that you have favourite. They will all be available for offline listening, as long as you have your downloaded content on your cell phone.Note: If you switch phone device, you will need to redownload the content you wish to listen to offline.
If I favourite a song or playlist in RTL+ app or Deezer app, will it sync between both apps?
Yes. The synchronisation between Deezer and RTL+ app will continue after the migration, in both directions.Can I log in to third-part apps like Sonos, Google or Alexa, Android TV with my new Deezer account through RTL+ partnership?
For now, RTL+ users can log in with their credentials on the Deezer website, mobile apps, Smart TV’s brands where Deezer is available and Smart login journey has been implemented. We are currently working to extend the usage of your credentials to Sonos, Alexa, Google Home, and other third-part apps. Also, we are working on a brand-new app to be available on the Fire Smart TV’s.Does my subscription include audio quality High Fidelity (Hi-FI)?
At this point, only audio quality Standard (128 Kbps) and High Quality (320 kbps - HQ) are available.I need to update the email or my payment details. Who should I reach?
